    First book of 2021! To be honest, I did not know anything about L.J. Shen until I read her books Sparrow and The Kiss Thief last year and I was not really intrigued with her works because of how dark those two books are. Then I saw a Facebook group chat that talks about her books particularly Vicious so I was really intrigued. And when I checked it on Goodreads, the number of ratings were insane that's why I gave it a shot. And boy oh boy, I think I just found myself falling in a rabbit hole after reading this because I can't stop reading all her books.

    Anyway, as I said, this is the 3rd book of L.J. Shen that I've read and.. daammnnnn.. she really does not disappoint. I can only count on my one hand my go-to authors I know that even without reading the gist of the story I know that it'll be really good and L.J. Shen is one of them. To think this book has been sitting on my TBR for so long! I'm so glad I finally read it. I'm happy I started this year with a bang!

    This book really captured me! So many emotions and feelings! I loved and hated Vicious at the same and I loved Emilia so much! Vicious is that one who doesn't admit his own feelings but has a peculiar way of showing it instead and that is.. yes.. bullying. Typical right? But the thing is he bullies Emilia in a most ridiculous and annoying way so much so that he pushed Emilia to other man. The four HotHoles and Emilia kinda reminded me of Meteor Garden/Boys Over Flowers. If only Vicious didn't stayed vicious as he is and showed Emilia how he really feels instead. As of Emilia, man I loved her. She's everything! I mean, she stands her ground and never puts up to Vicious's antics. Her love to her family is so inspiring she's willing to sacrifice herself for them.

    Vicious and Emilia's love story is so frustrating because of the wasted 10 years of them acting like idiots (Vicious's words) but I think it made them mature at the same time and realize things as they grow. I really hoped we get another book of them or a short novella just to see how they lived after they were married. I'm still dreading curious how Vicious proposed to Millie. Huhu

    Overall, I loved this book so much! I wanna delete this book in my mind so I can read it again and experience the feels I got to while reading this the first time. Because obviously, one read is not enough for me. I wanna tattoo this book in my brain. 😂
