RUCKUS (Sinners of Saint #2) by L.J. Shen

"What makes you feel alive? Singing like no one’s listening. Dancing like no one’s watching. Eating like calories don’t exist."

SYNOPSIS

They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right. No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking. He is my forbidden, shiny apple. The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth. He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend. One thing you should know before you judge me; I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first. Eleven years later, he waltzes into my life, demanding a second chance. Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. But my clock is ticking. See, I'm not like the rest. I have an illness. Sometimes I conquer it. Sometimes it conquers me. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn't too late.

Dean and Rosie!!! I actually kinda guessed Dean is into Rosie at the later parts of Vicious buutttt.. i never thought his feelings to Rosie ran that DEEP! I mean, Dean's POV from 10 years ago shocked me. That was not the Dean that I read from Vicious. I have mixed feelings while reading his past with Rosie to think that he really pursued Millie during their senior year. Same with Rosie! She's not the same Rosie that I read from Vicious. Guess it's really different when you write a character as a side character and as a lead one.

On a side note, I really cried while reading this. Rosie is so selfless. She never got mad when her family hid Millie's pregnancy from her, when her family always grits on her about leaving New York and start living with them instead- though I can understand where her family comes from. They just want her to be safe and be taken cared of because of her illness, and of course by not being with Dean when they are so into each other.

Overall, I loved their story but I was not really into it and no plans of reading it again.
