DEFY (Sinners of Saint #0.5) by L.J. Shen
“Because that was the problem with society. It cared too much about who you fell in love with but never about why. The why matters.”
SYNOPSIS
My name is Melody Greene, and I have a confession to make.
I slept with my student, a senior in high school.
Multiple times.
I had multiple orgasms.
In multiple positions.
I slept with my student and I enjoyed it.
I slept with my student and I’d do it all over again if I could turn back time.
My name is Melody Greene, and I got kicked out of my position as a teacher and did my walk of shame a la Cersei Lannister from the principal’s office, minutes after said principal threatened to call the cops on me.
My name is Melody Greene, and I did something bad because it made me feel good.
Here is why it was totally worth it.
Jaime you creepy stalker! 🤣 I never really liked the insta love between him and Ms. Greene. Ugh! I'm really not into student-teacher troupe (especially when the female is the teacher) cause it creeps the crap out of me!
To be honest, I was contemplating whether I should read this or not but since it was short, I read it and wew! I don't really feel Melody and Jaime's chemistry. Also, I kinda have to disagree from Vicious when he said out of the HotHoles, Trent is the nicest because obviously, it's freaking Jaime. He never really had issues about Dean being with Millie and majority of the time, he just minds his own business.
Ugh! Jaime deserves better seriously. I think he'll really do good if he was given a chance to star into a whole book and not just a novella. Melody really creeps me I don't know haha. I'm just glad this book is shorter than I expected because I don't wanna suffer from reading their story anymore though I maybe skipped some parts. Oops!
